    As of 3:38PM EST, Nova Suite services have been fully restored.

    All core systems are now online.
    ⚠️ Some services may temporarily experience degraded performance while we finish recovery procedures and continue monitoring stability.

    No data was lost during this incident, and our team is conducting internal reviews to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

    Impact: Full service outage across all Nova Suite apps and services, followed by partial degradation during recovery

    🧠 What Happened?

    On July 15th, Nova Suite experienced a critical systems-wide outage that affected all user-facing apps and internal tools, including:

    • Astro (web + mobile)

    • Nova Docs

    • Nova Central

    • Nova Search

    • Nova Gists

    • Nova Accounts

    • Nova ID Services

    • Nova AI

    • Nova Cloud Services

    • and our own internal tools

    Shortly after the outage began, our monitoring systems detected abnormal behavior across authentication, data routing, and internal service resolution. The root cause was traced to a deep-level failure in our infrastructure stack, which cascaded across multiple systems simultaneously.

    ⚠️ Due to security and risk-related concerns, specific technical details are not being disclosed publicly at this time.

    🛠️ What We Did

    Within minutes of detecting the issue:

    1. All were alerted and began immediate investigation.

    2. We were able to isolate the issue and began a manual recovery process for our core services.

    3. Services were gradually restarted in a staggered, partial rollout to reduce further risk.

    4. By 3:38PM EST, all core services were restored. Some degradation continued during post-recovery monitoring.

    5. As of now, all systems are stable and operational.

    📉 What Was Affected?

    • Users could not log into their Nova ID

    • Apps were unable to sync, load, or display content

    • AI services (Astro) were unavailable or failed to respond

    • Uploads, downloads, and editor tools failed to initialize

    No user data was lost during this incident. All platforms were affected by this issue. However, temporary data created between system failures may not have been retained if the app did not sync prior to the outage.

    ✅ What’s Next?

    To prevent this from happening again, we are:

    • Conducting a full internal audit of our system configuration policies

    • Implementing redundancy and fail-safes in the affected layer

    • Improving health check protocols for earlier anomaly detection

    • Refining our incident response playbooks for faster resolution

    We’ve identified the root cause of the system-wide Nova Suite outage. While the specific issue cannot be shared publicly, a fix is currently being implemented.
